Yamaha R125 is powered by a 124.7cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, 4-stroke, 4-valves SOHC engine. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and comes with an assist & slipper clutch mechanism. Yamaha YZF-R125 produces 15 PS of maximum power at 9,000 RPM and 11.5 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 RPM. The VVA feature helps consistent power delivery across the rev band.
Frame & Suspension
It uses the tried and tested steel delta-box frame like its bigger sibling the Yamaha R25. The suspension duties on the Yamaha YZF-R125 are taken care of by a 41MM USD telescopic forks at the front end and a swingarm-linked mono-shock at the rear. The swingarm used is made up of aluminium, and the suspension setup provides good control in the corners as well as in normal riding conditions. The front wheel travel is 130 MM while the rear wheel travel is 114 MM.
Brakes & Wheels: The braking duties on the Yamaha YZF-R125 are taken care of by 292 mm fixed calliper hydraulic disc brakes at the front and a 220 mm floating callipers disc at the rear end. It comes with a dual-channel ABS as a standard option. The R125 comes with 17-inch alloy wheels and tubeless tires.

Yamaha YZF-R125 Price in India and Launch Date
As of now, there are no launch plans for Yamaha YZF-R125 in India, because Yamaha already has the R15 V3 in the Indian market. For most of the Asian market, the R15 V3 is the smallest displacement R series bike from Yamaha. R15 V3 is already the best-selling bike of Yamaha in India, so there is little to no chance of Yamaha R125 launch in India.

It borrows its major design inspiration from its elder siblings the Yamaha R6 & R1. Yamaha YZF-R125 is surely one of the best-looking 125cc supersport bikes.
It has a fuel-injected & liquid-cooled engine. Now, R125 is an A1 license compliant bike so it can’t produce more than 15 PS of power. It achieves its peak power at 9,000 RPM which is relatively early compared to its competitors. However, It has the highest torque output amongst its competitors at 11.5 NM. The variable valve actuation makes sure that you don’t have to rev the life out of it, Ample amount of torque is available at low and mid-range. Yamaha claims the top speed of Yamaha YZF-R125 to be over 120 KMPH.
The R125 has solid built quality, that you can sense by just looking at it. The frame in the new version has been tweaked slightly. The suspensions work well for both track and road. The handling is nimble and it’s easy to flick around. The riding position is comfortable and it has a thick seat foam. Brakes on Yamaha YZF-R125 are good and work well for track and road.
