The upcoming FXZ 250 will take major design inspiration from its smaller sibling in India, the FZX150. It will come with a compact body, a round-shaped headlight, a two-level seat, and block pattern tyres that will give a retro appeal to its design. It is expected to be powered by the same 249cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, SOHC engine with air-cooling like the FZ 250. This 250cc retro bike will be mated to a 5-speed gearbox and it might come with a slipper clutch system. The Yamaha FZX 250 will make 20.8 PS of max power and 20.1 Nm of peak torque.
It will come fitted with 41 mm telescopic forks at the front end and a mono-cross suspension with adjustable preload at the rear end.
