Bajaj M80 Overview
Design & Styling: The Bajaj M80 had a very unique design, it looked like a scooter but had larger wheels and a slim body like a bike. The small round headlamp mounted on the handle gave it a distinctive face. Its body looked rugged and it was made to last. Back then it was a very attractive two-wheeler that attracted a lot of buyers.
Engine & Performance: The first-gen of the Bajaj M80 bikes were equipped with a 74.08cc Single-cylinder 2-stroke engine. It produced 4.7 BHP of max power at 6,000 RPM and 5.4 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 RPM. The engine was mated to a 3-speed manual transmission. Later on, Bajaj also launched new models that were powered by a 4-stroke engine.
Brakes & Suspension: M80 bike used 110mm drum brakes at both the front and rear wheel. However, some owners claimed that the brakes were inefficient. The Bajaj M80 was equipped with hydraulically damped telescopic forks at the front end and dual hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear end.
Dimensions, Wheels & Tyres: Bajaj M80 was a very lightweight bike, it weighed only 90 Kg. It had a wheelbase of 1,170 mm and it offered a ground clearance of 135 mm. The fuel tank capacity of M80 bike was 3.5 litres. It came with 17-Inch spoke wheels and it used to run on 2.5-inch wide front & rear tyre.
