Kinetic Honda Overview
Design & Styling: The Kinetic Honda had a very streak and streamlined body design. The design was borrowed from the successful Honda NH100. It came with a wide rectangular headlamp with turn indicators placed nearby, this setup gave it a very unique front end appearance. It looked very stylish and came with striking colour options to choose from.
Engine & Performance: It was powered by a 98cc single-cylinder, two-stroke engine. Kinetic Honda produced 7.7 HP of maximum power at 5,600 RPM and 9.8 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 RPM. The engine was mated to an automatic gearbox, that offered smooth power delivery. It was one of the most powerful and cheapest scooty that offered such performance.
Brakes & Suspension: The braking duties on the Kinetic Honda were taken care of by a 110mm drum brakes at both the front wheel and rear wheel. The front suspension was a leading link with coaxial shock absorber & sprint unit. While the rear suspension was a unit swing with spring loaded hydraulic damper unit
Dimensions, Wheels & Tyres: Kinetic Honda was very lightweight, it weighed only 99 KG. It had a fuel-tank capacity of 6 litres and it offered a ground clearance of 110 mm. This scooter came with 10-inch front and rear wheel. It used to run 3.50 x 10- 4PR tyre upfront and 3.50 x 10- 4PR tyre at the rear.
Other Features: This Iconic scooter was equipped with features that were never seen before in this segment. Kinetic Honda came with an electric starter which was a segment-first feature back then. It featured an Analogue instrument console that showed speedometer, fuel gauge and an odometer.

This 2-stroke scooter has been discontinued a long ago, it was discontinued from the Indian market in 1984. The brand introduced various successor model of this scooter in the Indian market. But in 1998, Kinetic and Honda broked their ties and then it was taken over by Mahindra later on.
