The KTM RC 150 is an upcoming entry-level supersport bike in India. This upcoming supersport will take its design cues from the bigger bikes in the RC series. It will be powered by a newly developed 150cc BS6 compliant engine that will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Upcoming RC 150 will carry the same aggressive and sporty looking design inspired by its bigger siblings the RC 390 and KTM RC8. It will come with a single-cylinder engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection. The KTM RC 150 will be able to produce around 19 HP of max power and 14.5 Nm of peak torque. This supersport will come with a 6-speed gearbox and KTM might equip it with a slipper clutch.
The RC 150 will feature 43 mm USD front forks and a WP Apex mono-shock with adjustable preload at the rear. The braking duties will be taken care of by a 300 mm 4-piston calliper disc at the front wheel and a 230 mm 1-piston calliper disc at the rear wheel. It will come with BOSCH 9.1 MP dual-channel ABS with supermoto mode. The KTM RC 150 will feature twin-projector headlamps, a digital LCD console, and full LED lighting like its bigger sibling the KTM RC 250.
KTM RC 150 Price in India & Launch Date
As of now, KTM has not revealed any launch dates for this 150cc supersport bike. As its younger sibling RC 125 is doing great in terms of sales, it may take a while before KTM replace it with an all-new 150cc RC. The KTM RC 150 price in India is expected to be around Rs 1,70,000 (EX-Showroom Price).
Verdict On KTM RC 150
The RC 150 looks like a perfect bike for the Indian market and it could easily replace the RC 125. The RC 125 is underpowered and is way too overpriced for a 125cc bike, so a more powerful 150cc model will be a better value for money offering by KTM. It will be a much better competitor to R15 V3 in India and we hope the KTM RC 150 becomes a reality soon.
