Yamaha MT-07 Overview
The Yamaha MT-07 comes with a new updated design that looks more aggressive and sportier than the older gen model. The latest model is offered in three colour options to choose from. It is powered by a 689 cc 2-cylinder engine that meets the latest Euro 5 Emission Norms. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox but it misses out on the slipper clutch feature like its smaller sibling the MT 25. The MT-07 churns out 73.4 PS of maximum power at 8,750 rpm and 67 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. This streetfighter has a top speed of more than 200 km/h.
The MT-07 is based on a lightweight diamond-type chassis that the smaller Yamaha MT-25 uses. For braking, it relies on dual 298 mm discs at the front wheel and a single 245 mm disc at the rear. It comes fitted with telescopic forks at the front end and a link-type mono-shock suspension at the rear. Yamaha has equipped the new-gen model with features like projected LED headlamps, negative LCD instrument console and premium tubeless tyres. It doesn’t get any riding aids or electronics like its middleweight supersport sibling the Yamaha R6.
