The XSR900 is the flagship bike from the Yamaha XSR series. It comes with a neo-retro design that looks very sophisticated and stylish. The Current gen model of this neo-retro sports heritage bike is offered in three colour options to choose from, white, grey and black. Overall the Yamaha XSR900 looks very premium and appealing.
This retro bike by Yamaha is powered by an 847cc 3-cylinder engine that uses an electronic fuel-injection system for fuel supply. Its motor is liquid-cooled and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox like the smaller Yamaha XSR700. The Yamaha XSR900 makes 115 PS of maximum power at 10,000 RPM and 87.5 Nm of max torque at 8,500 RPM. it comes with a Yamaha chip controlled throttle (YCC-T) that gives it crisp acceleration.
Yamaha XSR900 uses inverted telescopic forks at the front end and a swingarm lined mono-shock suspension at the rear end. It comes fitted with dual 298 mm disc brakes at the front wheel and a single 245 mm disc brake at the rear wheel. Yamaha has equipped its flagship bike with safety features like ABS and a traction control system.
It has a kerb weight of 195 kg and it has a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres. It offers a ground clearance of 135 mm which is slightly disappointing. The Yamaha XSR900 comes with a fully digital instrument console that shows a lot of information. It comes with premium forged aluminium parts and it has a solid fit and finishes.
